We at PGT investigated the participation of Genetics and its mechanisms in various psychiatric diseases. Check out the patient groups that help us better understand the genetic events in these diseases.

Adolescentes

high risk cohort

Also known as the Brazilian High Risk Cohort (BHRC), it is made up of children and adolescents who are more likely to have psychiatric illnesses.

Post-traumatic stress

Created in collaboration with the Pérola Byington Hospital, it is made up of women victims of sexual violence.

Cohort formed by mothers who suffered violence during childhood and adolescence, and their respective babies.

First Psychotic Episode

This cohort is  composed of first-episode psychotic and treatment-naïve individuals, who are followed up over time.

Schizophrenia

Patients with schizophrenia who attend PROESQ (from the Department of Psychiatry at UNIFESP) make up this cohort.
